Came to vent that although I never disliked backstitching, this time it seems they wouldn't end, on these garlics. Mom is telling me how she loves back stitch work, and makes me wanna wish she wasn't in Brazil, so she could do it for me.

Of course comparing the non-backstitched and the backstitched one shows how much it's worth it to have it back stitched. So a small update to show the comparison. I started on part of the writing too since I had thread left.

just bought the kit from michaels... as most of their kits are marked down .... will be awhile before I start it but the price was right

Yay! My mom and I bought it there too, marked down, so it was a really good deal. And so far I'm loving stitching this, despite the amount of backstitches and the bits of confetti work.

I haven't been working on this too diligently the past week or so, as I'm doing a small project for my best friend's birthday, but I still got a bit done, and have now finished the right side of the Mediterranean.

I took pictures of the progress, going from no background, to background half stitches done, to full backstitching done. I also finished the writing on the right side.

Absolutely beautiful work, and it is so interesting to see your before and after photos, if you know what I mean
