Yes, it was because I saw Meer-kat's that I wanted it, too! She even sent me her chart (unmarked!)

Done a bit more of the background as well; obliged to use Thread Heaven for the 6 strand half crosses - takes a bit of the pressure off the fingers, and helps stop the thread shredding up, both of which are good, but I have to use so much the needle is slippery... gah! Still, never mind, so long as it works!

I think this is one of the prettiest ones I've seen. There is something very striking about the way he is approaching. It kind of makes me want to get out of hi path.

Last year or the year before that, we had a thing on the norwegian hobbyforum I'm a member of, when we were around 10-15 people who stitch this together. It was like for example I stitched 500 stitches, then I send it to the next person on the list, she did 500, send it to the next person and so on. Funny! In the end, we found a winner of us that won the picture.

Wonderful progress!! I'm glad the Thread Heaven is making life somewhat easier for the background.
