Thank you all!

Raine - almost exactly so: there are pomegranates, olives and grapes. Those are three of the seven species of plants which especially bless the Land of Israel, according to the Bible (the rest are: figs, dates, wheat and barley).

Mabel - the verse is from Song of Songs: "I belong to my beloved and my beloved belongs to me". It is beautiful, but I actually changed the original design a little - I put in the center just the names of the couple, and all around the design - some other verses from the Song of Songs.

Jocellogirl - good luck with yours! Hope you can make it on time!

I took the picture yesterday to the frame shop - they promised it would be ready tomorrow (the wedding is next week).

That's a lovely verse, I once did a card with it for a student of mine who got married:

Oh, I can't wait to see it all finished!! :D

I'd love to stitch this for our next wedding anniversary (21st!! ). Never really did anything for us before - and I think this is such a beautiful piece.

Hi Colibri

Your progress is fantastic!!! :applesauce: :applesauce: Well done at getting it to the framing shop well in time. I can't wait to see it all framed up - it's such a lovely project.

Mine is coming along ok, but I think it'll have to go to the framing shop before it's finished to get measured up and let them get started on the frame. If I manage to finish it and get it to the frame shop a week before the wedding then I think there would have to be Divine intervention!!!!

I hope you have a lovey time at the weding. Your niece will be so pleased with such a beautiful present.

Stunning! I know just what you mean about the designs being easier when they're right-way-up instead of upside down - our brains prefer that I'm sure!
I'm sure the couple will be delighted with this - enjoy a good dance at the wedding!
