That is lovely...leave the small eyelets alone, you can always fill in later!
Your French knots look fine to me!

You should see mine!!!
I am going to take up the suggestion of a practice piece and I'm not going to be defeated by EYELETS!!!
I'll take a photo soon

I think it's looking lovely and your French Knots don't look bad to me. I like how your tree looks, so I hope you won't stop- I'm looking forward to your next update

Didn't want to start a new thread for this, and I need to resurrect this thread anyway, cos I'll be posting more of my tree tomorrow - I hope!
Anyway, just want to show this mini-chinese-dragon. It is for a friend. I started it this morning, and have done this today, in between doing housework and other such boring, tedious stuff...
His (or her) basic body is complete. I modified the leg/foot at the lower right because it looked very odd in the design. It still isn't right, but I think it looks better. Another odd thing is the number of legs... count 'em! The bit at the top left is the end of a tail, btw, not an oddly placed foot!
But I love this, anyway, because it is so nice to stitch with bright colours for a change, and because it is stitching up so fast! I only have to add a bit of yellow, a fair old bit of gold metalic, and, of course, backstitch.

Colors are indeed great! And I agree, 5 legs seems a bit odd.

Very nice colors and strange with the feet but maybe it is just hiding one?? LOL Great stitching

Lovely colors and a very pretty dragon, even if he/she has an unusual number of feet. Perhaps one was lost in an accident? Or its hidden like Karen suggested? Regardless, it will make a great gift for your friend.

A very attractive dragon, though I agree there is something odd afoot...

Oooh, very cool dragon

Since he/she is magical, I guess he can have as many feet as he wants haha

It's looking great though, can't wait to see it finished

Very pretty dragon, I love the colors!
The tree of stitches is just gorgeous!

Love the colors you have picked, and it is so cool to see all the different stitches coming together in the beautiful tree!

Thanks for your lovely comments, everyone!
As promised, here is updated ToS:
When I went back to it again I decided to do the falling leaves - and that is when I noticed another big error! I have misplaced the the top section of the branch on the right.

Ah, well! Pressing on regardless! I am treating this one as a test piece: my next will be for real!
Next section will be blues...

If you didn't tell us, no one would know that anything was "misplaced". I don't know of any two trees in my yard that are the same so why should a TOS have to be the same as any other. I know I had a few "misplaced" stitches here and there on mine. I love the colors you are using. I think you are doing a great job.

I love those colours! And no one would know it's off, I think Abi has said every piece is unique.

I haven't done the TOS or seen the pattern, so I'm looking at your pictures from a "casual observer" sort of thing.
And I think it looks great! I can't see anything wrong with it. But all of us (myself included) are always critical of our own work.
Your TOS looks lovely. You have a right to be proud.
I love the colours of your dragon. The designer must have liked feet, I guess.
