Ooooo do tell which one - or are you keeping it under wraps? I don't know if you have considered doing the DMC or going for the whole sillk experience? If it has solid silks you could swap them for DMC and just keep some variegated silks (or not) to keep costs down. I know several stitchers that uses Martina's full DMC conversions for all their Chatelaines - the only way you can tell is that they lack the slight colour variations of the variegated silk thread. Then again you may want the full blown silk experience (which I wouldn't want to deny you :D ). I'm stitching 1 using DMC and 1 using silks and I've realised that it is Martina's amazing designs that make stitching these beauties such a pleasure - so they look amazing whatever route you choose!

I'm seriously thinking about getting Frosty Knotgarden as my first big Chatelaine. Then maybe work my way through the other seasons. I've thought about just using DMC, but I really enjoy using the silks and want to see it all done up that way. Plus, since I don't have time to stitch it right now anyway, I can save up to get the full kit when I'm ready for it. :D

Lovely choice Mechie - and a very beautiful series, something nice to look forward to! Meanwhile you know exactly what the materials are - so if you happen to see a few threads on special, you can get a few. I do like the fact that Martina posts the materials on the Yuku board - lets you know what you (and your purse/pocketbook!) are in for!

I've been working on this one slowly but surely. For a while, Little One decided she didn't want to nap, so I didn't get any stitching in. Things seem back to normal for the moment, so I give you spring time roses:

Enjoy!

Looking good.

Know what you mean about nap time, my little one might sleep for 2 hours today but tomorrow it might just be 20 minutes. Neither affects her bedtime in any way but sometimes it would just be nice if there was a little timer to tell me how long she was going to sleep for!!!!

:applesauce: That is lovely. So sparkley and really has a great springtime feel to it. So you have a springtime and an autumn in your fairy. Are summer and winter coming next?

That would be nice! My biggest issue is that Little One wants to take a nap right when it's time to pick up Big One from preschool. Since it's a 20min drive to get to the school, Little One usually falls asleep in the car. By the time we get home and get lunch, Little One decides that she's already napped and won't go to sleep in her bed. Luckily, I think I've finally broken her of that notion because she's been taking a nice nap at home in the afternoons for about a week now ( :x: don't want to jinks it because she's a bear to deal with come dinner time if she doesn't nap).

 You know, I hadn't ever realized that until you point it out! I don't have anything for summer or winter at the moment, but you never know. :D
