Love the bird pics. We had to put a net over a little pond we had because we were losing goldfish. My old boss had those really big goldfish in a big pond at his house and lost them to a Great Blue also. They are very persistent birds.

Wow, it's looking fanastic. And how lovely to get so close to a real heron. We used to get an occasional visit from one. He'd perch on our shed and glare at the pond

And it's finished!!! The backstitching was a lot more than I thought it was--very intense but I managed to get it done! I love the end result even if it did take a bit longer to do the backstitching than I anticipated. Here's what it looks like

All that backstitching was really worth it, the feathers seem to have real depth!

Thanks so much. I agree nacho, the backstitching really does give the feathers dimension! Yes, Carole, this one is definitely going to be framed soon--likely try and find a white(?) frame and hang it in our second bathroom
