Owls! Can't get enough of em' *Updt. 10/11Finished Cozy Owl*

All finished stitching Cozy Owl! It's hard to see the gold threads in the Aida but it looks great in person. I was surprised to see the gold even shimmers through the stitching which I didn't think it would.



Here's a close up of the gold thread weaved into the Aida...



I'm taking a little break from my owl projects to do some Halloween minis and to do some much needed finishing of my finishings (pillows, ornaments, etc...) and I'll be posting these in their respective SAL threads.

The owl looks amazing! And I've noticed the same thing when I used sparkly aida, which just makes it that much more awesome.

The Owl is beautiful. And the fabric is perfect for it. I also wouldn't think the gold would show through but it does in a wondefully subtle way (at least that is how it looks in the photo. Great finish.

Lovely, lovely work. I have been watching for the finish. I love Owls and am especially into the quirky ones right now. Sadly that magazine is not available in UK. I might try Ebay again.

Tiff-I guess you're right, Owls ARE are synonymous with Halloween but surprisingly enough, the Halloween minis I'm working on contain no owls so far Just ghosts, bats and black cats

Topbiddy- I'll be happy to send you the mag when I'm done....I have one more design I want to do from it before I let it go out the door, though

About my French Knots, I couldn't do one to save my life and always have to get on Youtube for a refresher before doing them. But for some reason after doing a few in this project, something clicked and they just started coming together for me. I haven't done one since so I hope I didn't lose the technique
