Oh yeah! I had totally forgotten about that blue pen. I have one, I'm totally going to do that tonight. Thanks for reminding me about it!

Minor update on the pumpkin! My husband was sad when I wasn't working on it, so I took it out again. I'm probably over half way done at this point, but I haven't totally finished half of the chart yet (like folded in half). I *might* be able to get it done before the end of the month. We shall see.

Well, no updates on the pumpkin since the last time (well, updates, but no pictures), but I did start on a Christmas ornament. I was dumb and asked my two friends which they liked better, snowmen or gingerbread men, and they both said snowmen, so I will have to make two more after this. I shouldn't have asked. Oh well!

Image

Also, my birthday is coming up so I spent too much money and bought the following fabrics from a lady on craigslist, not much of a discount because she knew what it was worth, but oh well!

Image

I decided that the "light amaretto" color is ugly (top on the right pile), so I'm hoping that the snow men will look okay on it.

:applesauce: I like the Gingerbread Man! I think he will make a great ornament. And the snowmen should look fine on that fabric. What a pretty haul you made. Lots of variety which is always good. I never seem to have the right fabric at the right time.

Oooooohhhh....nice haul! I see lots of Lugana and Jobelan...my faves! I think the snowmen will look great on the fabric...the fabric color will add extra pop to them. And I really like the little gingerbread man.

I'm a compulsive updater. I love taking pictures of whatever it is I'm working on and then sharing it. I don't know why, but I love doing that. Anyways, here are some updates since... Friday. :)

I've finished the gingerbread man, but I haven't figured out who it's going to go to so I haven't added any names & dates yet:

I worked a bit on the pumpkin picture, I have done a bit more since this photo was taken but for some reason I never took a picture. Odd.

And I've started a new ornament, this is will be for one of two friends that I have who have had babies in 2013. I thought it would be a good tradition to make the kiddo an ornament every year. Easy, personalized & inexpensive! I get a cheap present and they get a personalized one. Win - win!

I also got a needle minder! I'm pretty excited about it, no more do I have to put my needles on the arm of the sofa, I'm sure if my husband had any clue about what it was he would also be appreciative!

:applesauce: :applesauce: What a great idea and you are doing a wonderful job at it. The babies might not appreciate the ornaments now, but what great keepsakes these will be.

Small updates, I finished two ornaments and started a third! I haven't decided what will be fourth on this fabric yet. I have two other ones that are for myself & my husband that are going to go on a more natural color fabric. =) I can't wait to finish the penguin (Lizzie Kate) so I can start on the next one! I love these mini projects, they go so quickly!

"Brooke" was originally off centered  so I added a flourish to the e! I don't think you can tell now.

Lizzie Kate (Tiny Tidings V?):

And of course I changed all the colors to DMC from... something else! I liked the more BOLD look and the original colors were more subtle.

:applesauce: Great updates! The Lizzie Kate is so cute. I love the snowman's expression. I imagine the original threads were either Weeks Dye Works or Gentle Art Sampler Threads which are what are often the suggested threads for her projects. I do think they give the the DMC equivalents though and these are definitely bold and bright. Great for a Christmas theme.

Great updates! I really like all of them, but I think maybe the Brooke snowman is my fave out of the group. They do look like a lot of fun to stitch...and your stitches are so neat!

Love your projects!
I should get a needle minder. My habit is to stick them in the left front of whatever I am wearing. Can't believe how many needles I have "lost" only to discover a slew of them on the front of my bathrobe or sweater.
Keep posting pictures! They are great to see.
Cheers :toast:
