I do. And I'm pretty sure my spending was above average...but I still snuck in under $25.

Hi all
I like Mel keep bidding on eBay as a sort of faux spending. Lucky for me I have some Christmas money still unspent in the kitty. Bought myself a magnifying floor lamp - I seriously needed it as I have none and the eyes are not what they used to be. It is going to be tough sticking to the $25 per month and I think I am in need of counselling or a straight ban on eBay shopping. February looks like I may go over budget and it is only the 2nd!! :D

:D

I sent off my address to her. The only part I'm sad about is that she didn't include my blog address but said I as an email only participant.. I had asked her before signing up if I could update with my blog address later as I was in the process of starting one, so I submitted my blog info when I reported january spending. Think of all the visitors and potential new readers I could have gotten!

I did something similar, I bought a domain name so I moved everything over to that, and emailed her to update the blog address, but she hasn't gotten to it. Must be swamped with other things! Good thing I left the old one the same and just linked it... :)

I'm irked about domains. A while back, I spent forever thinkin about domains.. and searching for them.. and found NeedleAndFork.com was available, so I registered here, on the HAED board and a few oher places with that name, while looking for a coupon for godaddy to register the domain.. in the 30 minutes it took to do that..the domain was GONE. It was snatched up by one of those domain resellers who now is offering to resell it to me for $799! It seems that GoDaddy is sharig their searches with a domain reseller who snatches up any good results that come through and then tries to resell them.

GoDaddy is the WORST. I cannot tell you the horror stories I've heard about them, not to mention some of the things they support. I bought mine from NetFirms and I'm pretty pleased with them so far. I might buy another one for my side wedding invitation business.

Web hosting is an entirely different issue... that's why I use Tumblr's (it's free!).

Love the cartoon rose!

I second perftangel on calling GoDaddy.com as the worst. Our regional dressage club uses them as our web server and we've had so many problems with GoDaddy's server messing up and when they recover, they've put up an old, out-dated version of our site. This causes problems when you have important organizational things like bylaws and policies and procedures that have changed. But we're stuck in a 3 year contract with them...ugh.
