SIX DAYS UNTIL STASHMAS

It is December 1 in Brisbane and Sally sent me an email yesterday, before her internet connection was lost due to the weather:

"We had a humungous storm last night, over 2 hours of continuous lightning – mostly just sheet sort but some whopper hits around the city. Needless to say computers are not good today nor will be until - at the very earliest - tomorrow night.

I know tomorrow is Stashmas but I won’t be posting pics or thanks etc so could you please put a please explain on the thread for me. Phil has rigged emails through his phone but browsing the internet is worse than snail pace so I won’t try it.

Got to keep it short. We are aok here

So despite the inconvenience she still gets the first Stashmas Day post!! We will just have to wait and see what lovely stash she has!!!

Well I'm delighted she's had the first stashmas post, and that she's ok, sounds wild there, and it's bad her in Wales, but not that bad!!

We can all look forward to seeing her goodies soon. I just hope I can sort out my photobucket issue before tomorrow.....

Here I are well at least I now have the internet but emails are another story as yet.

I have opened my Stashmas parcel and been thoroughly spoiled by Jennifer (StitchinWitch). Thank you so very much for such a wonderful set of gifts. I have taken some pictures and will try and get them onto PB but not holding my breath. Hopefully at some stage today I will manage it and get them onto here - as tomorrow is guess what - more storms predicted.

Thank you too to Carole for putting up the message for me. dear SIL rigged me up a temporary link via his phone to get 3 essential emails off which I did and they must have got there ok. Very handy at times having a live in IT expert around.

PS Loved the drawing on the back of the packaging Jennifer.

Beads galore, and needles and a nabber for them, a beautiful snowflake bead kit, plus more needles, a useful little book (actually, I was looking for something just like this!), plus a fridge magnet (love 'em) and a lovely card. Julie (cotterpin) sent me some lovely 32 ct Minster Linen and beautiful Hand dyed threads and an adorable stitched card. Miss Laverne gave her approval before I even had a chance to look closely at my gifts

Jo (jocellogirl) sent me a beautiful piece of Lugana (from our very own nachosmiley) - I have a few ideas for it. It's a beautiful blue with undertones of green (or what looks like green), which reminds me of evergreen trees against a night sky. In addition to the fabby, she sent me some beautiful fibers (from Wales), adorable giraffe buttons (I do love giraffes!!), and a local newspaper (which I know I'll enjoy reading later today over a cup of tea). I absolutely love everything, Jo. Thank you so so so much!!



P.S. And beeeeeeeeth - I'm glad you like the fabric. The poor lady at the LNS had to pull out almost every bolt of fabric she had before I could make my decision.

My gift from Rabeccashelly is a lovely KustomKraft jaguar pattern, an adorable stitched card, and 4 fabrics, the are (im guessing on counts) 18ct aida in white, 32ct linen in green, 28ct evenweave in red and white.

Loving mine from Cariee, cheered me up on a grim day. Lovely to see everyone else's as well, best bit of Stashmas.

There are two gorgeous bits of. Hand dyed fabric, the wine one is opalescent and is petty darn special! Some needles and some hand dyed threads and some Wildflower floss as well, just when I was thinking I should be doing more hardanger etc!! Delighted, thanks so much. And a lovely card as well.
