Didn’t post Nativity stocking I worked on last week. But here is this week’s update.
And for comparison...
Finished the face of the guy up top, and worked on the toe.

I actually like both looks! The first one looks almost like a delicate watercolour, the second has more "pop". Beautiful work either way

Looks really nice. Well done.
Fair but of work to go to turn it into a stocking - and that's where I always fall down. Normal sewing is phenomenally difficult and involves lots of blood!
Love to see the finished item. It'll be even more impressive.

This is a fabulous stocking, Roland! You stitched the expression on each character ( Mary, Joseph, the angels...) perfectly.
I know how hard it is to backstitch the faces and getting the right "look".

I really don’t enjoy the putting together part. I started using my sewing machine which is much faster....but scary. Lol. And I still have to hand sew the cording. There is a type that can be machine sewn on, but I’m not capable. I would make a mess, destroy the stocking, and probably break my machine too.

Ready to start the backstitch. I think I got a lot done this week, and a lot of it was snow. Maybe because I was so sick and couldn’t do anything.
