Afternoon all! I've finally got a progress picture for you. I've had a horrendous hangover today so I'm just feeling up to attempting a bit of stitching. Honestly, I don't now what I was thinking last night I'm not designed to drink!

In other news I've just received the threads for my next (or in between) project of the cherry blossom design by Maria Diaz in the latest Cross Stitcher. I've decided I'll probably do it on aida instead of evenweave, mainly because it'll be a bit quicker to do. I've also found out that the baby sampler I plan to do for a friend in work doesn't need to be done until the end of November so the pressure is off - for now at least! I really do need to sort and prioritise my projects!
This is the cherry blossom that I'm working on for a friend at work. It's quite a therapeutic design to be working on, and I'm enjoying it (despite some initial reservations!) I'll be back on the peacock very soon

I'm sure we've all been down that road where you're just sick of seeing the projects you've been working on and feeling like you're not getting anywhere. It was very, very quiet in work on Friday so I picked up a spare piece of material and just decided to see what I could do. I took the verse from a chart but the rest is of my own creation, albeit it's not extraordinary but I'm pleased with it! My plan is to frame it and have it up on Christmastime. I've even considered doing a few different verses but we'll have to see how it goes. Please excuse the hoop marks, I'm undecided as yet if I'll add a border to this, so it hasn't been washed. Let me know what you think!
Lovely projects - the cherry blossom is looking nice on white.
Your own design is lovely too - it's very satisfying to do something of your own, isn't it. I think a simple border might be nice.
