A butterfly design hmm? :thinks: I might be tempted to give a butterly designed biscornu a try.

And here's the March biscornu.

Design: Pattern-a-Day Calendar 2010 (Monday 1st March)
Materials: Unknown 28-count evenweave from Polstitches grab bag; Madeira silks 0514 10 and 1407 12; gold glass seed beeds from a broken necklace; gold filigree buttons; white ribbon; soft toy stuffing

I'm using different fabrics, so each one says in the post with the pics what fabric I'm using. They're all different sizes depending on what design and fabric I use. :)

The first two were stitched on 18-count ecru aida, the third one was stitched on 28-count evenweave of an unknown colour from a Polstitches grab bag (it has pinky-browny-goldy tones through it).

THe colour of the thread didn't come out too clearly on the third one - it's more a deep burgundy colour than a purple and goes very nicely with the goldy-green I used on the back.
