Yes the Barbara designs are lovely - and lovely to stitch as well, easy but not boring, great for evening stitching!
Two finishes this morning! the dancer which is in its own SAL, and the dolphins below. I used wee beads for their eyes as I'm hopeless with french knots, and this way the light shines on them and it looks like they are looking at you! I'll get a bespoke frame for this one as its a gift for my neurosurgeon - but it and the solar system and another dog and cat I stitched a while ago are going to the village show tomorrow. The dolphins will have to go unmounted, but there you go.

Those dolphins are stunning.

The wave gives a nice epic look to the design

well

the dragon is officially a UFO right now - way to complicated while my pain is at such a high level. Never mind he will NOT be forgotten.
Anyhow, been doing a few other projects, this one is the first in a set of 3 which I'm going to hang on ribbon on a bell pull for my sister for Christmas:
And this one is from one of the mags, a man, boy and dog skimming stones, doing it by the request of my other sister, on linen:
and today I did this - trialling hand dyed threads on black aida:

I've been very naughty not updating this! So here goes, a bit picture heavy!!!
I've been working on my Summer Ball, update soon, and my Carousel horse in a rotation but have done some other works and some little pieces.
I did this and 3 bookmarks of the same type for Christmas, plus two tiny animals stitched over one on 27count, but I dont have pics.
Then I did some Lizzie*Kate designs when I was stressed and upset about something recently, they were good to relax too!!
I've just finished this, the tree of life by Joan Elliot - it was a dream to stitch and pretty quick - its for the couple who I buy hay from, they go beyond the call of duty and I wanted to show them my appreciation.
And I'm nearing the finish on this one, another one for a horse related person, my trainer - she chose it and its been another great one to stitch. Once they are done I can concentrate on the SUmmer ball and the Carousel horse for a while, before I start the Fire Goddess.
So I've not been slacking
Oh and the skimming stones got finished before Christmas - so did the oriental triptych but no pics of them
I did start a HAED but I've not really got on well with it - I may stop doing it in tent stitch and do it on 18 or 20 count instead, but I've got a lot to get on with!
Thanks for looking

Fantastic finishes and wonderful progress on the horses. I really love the Tree of Life--so much detail and I like how you used the beads in it too!! Very nice.
I love the stained glass ones, especially the second one--what's the design and/or designer's name--I would love to stitch that up!!
