Got fustrated with the feeling of little progress being made on my fractal so decided that I would stitch another EMS number (besides I would like to have it finished by Christmas THIS year!). I jumped a few numbers to 8 because it was the next number that fell in the quarter I had gridded up.

Have also been enjoying stitching on my windmill as well during my lunchbreaks at work. Finally got over halfway, and a lot of the second half is half stitch so it is going quite quickly now. You can't actually tell but there are white half stitches between the blue on the left and above the blue on the right) which I was worried about when I first stitched it as it wasn't showing up on the fabric but now that I've stitched a bit more I think that it will be fine.

That windmill really does look great and the sky will blend perfectly as the windmill grows more I'm sure. :)

Those white stitches will really help with the finished "look", it's always surprising how much those "invisible" bits contribute :-)!

Hi Tracy. Just seen your thread for the first time. Excellent progress on both of these and your stitching is so lovely and neat too. :applesauce:

Well now that all the advent numbers have been released I can finalise the mockup I did and get on with getting the stitching done. I've now finished 9 & 10 as well - now to move over to the next quarter and go back and do 5-7.
The mockup:

9 & 10 finished:

All the numbers I've stitched so far:

I've also done a bit of work on the windmill, but I forgot to get a picture of it

The numbers are coming out really nicely - this is a neat design, and I'm sure your family will treasure them for years!
