very pretty stash Carole and your afghan is great!!! LOL on Laverne, she definitely is your assistant and most adorable.
I'm still waiting for them to ship my silk threads--I ordered on August 24th and they still haven't sent me notice that they have been sent--status still says processing

Kjers: What fun presents these will be. I love what you do for Christmas.

Well, the postman didn't bring me my book on Hardanger stitching and isn't going to since Amazon refunded my money. but didn't say why. I think because it was for sale and a really reduced price. I have reserved two books at the library. They are very expensive if you try to buy a needlework book of any kind new. Michaels' had one that was very interesting looking, but they won't accept their own coupons for books or magazines.
I love books of all kinds so that was disappointing.

Yes it's for TGE - picking the fabric was easy I have no idea what threads to use! Hope your Sparklies package comes soon, I know everything is hand dyed to order so she must have quite a backlog after the sale!

I recieved 2 packages today one from our wonderful rcperryls she passed on the monthly angels that are on her afghan. I want to do each of my nieces the angel of her birth month and then put then in flat folds as next years(2012) Christmas presents. I also have one nephew but I am thinking and angel it not the right gift for him. I hope to find a nice Nutcracker and modify it to represent his birth month.

The second package is a gift for my daughter she is wanting a Welcome to our home banner. I have looked and looked for just the right one and finally found it on 123 Stitch. Her favorit shape is a star and this pattern has a star with a nest on it and A banner with Welcome draped across one point it should be very nice for her I hope.

I ordered a trolley needle from West End Embroidery on Thursday and am disproportionately excited about it!! I've been using cocktail sticks as laying tools to keep my strands parallel but want something nicer and I'm hoping the trolley needle will be waiting for me when I get home from work tonight. I call it my "spike" and Hubby's getting worried!

Thiscame yesterday, isn't is fab? My BF loves spiders (she is German and they are supposed to be lucky)So it's a Christmas present. Terrible price for a chart (as all hers are a bit pricy) but I loved the design...

That is a pretty design. Can't wait to see your updates. I'm glad to know that spiders are good luck for some people. I don't love them myself, but they make beautiful webs and now I see that they make beautiful cross stitch pieces too.
