Linda, that spider chart is really nice and I can't wait to see it stitched up--her designs are great!!!
Here's some lovely stash that my postal carrier has brought me over the last week
First is some 32 ct Hand-dyed Lugana in Lemon Drop---for Joan Elliott's Earth Angel--along with my long awaited hdf silks that I bought recently
And this is some hand dyed 16 ct Aida in Champagne Cocktail and some wonderful hand dyed Carrie's Creations floss

So pretty. I can't wait to see what you do with them. The Angel is going to be lovely on that fabric.

Carole - I knew I asked you about the back of afghans but couldn't remember where. Yours is amazing! I just saw the pic and at first I thought the back was the front!

I know some people may say I am being extravagant, or something, but I jumped in the deep end and bought the whole set of DMC solid colours from Herrschners. All 454 of them!
My excuse is that I have only recently got back into cross stitch, and I needed to obtain a "base supply." It sounds a bit weak as a defence doesn't it?
They arrived yesterday and last night I had great fun sorting them. All those lovely colours!

Congrats on the great stash buy. Are you going to be winding all the colours on bobbins???

Or the stitch bow.?

I got the fabric to re-start my HAED.

I had got the fabric before and had got to page 4, but the fabric was so bad and frayed so much(that was with having sellotape on it as well

) that it had gone from having 3 inches spare at the top to having under 2 in just 2 months

- thought it best to re-start

Needless to say I've got different fabric this time

No, it would drive me round the bend to wind all those skeins on bobbins!
I do use Stitch Bows for a project that's on the go, but I won't use them to store all that floss. It would get too expensive.
I am thinking of buying a Parts Organizer from Canadian Tire for 25$. It's a sturdy carrying case that can also be put on a wall, and it contains four sealed plastic boxes with dividers. Okay, it's not what you could consider "pretty," but I think it will do the job to protect the floss. I can always get extra boxes if I need them.

Now that would just make my day to get the whole set! I could fiddle with threads all day...

Thanks for the heads up, their prices are really good! Just ordered some WDW, CC and GAST floss for a Lizzie Kate design I'm just starting, how long did it take for your order to arrive?
Hi Xandra been thinking of you

I ordered the threads on Thursday evening and they arrived Saturday morning - so couldn't ask for more!
XandraS wrote:Thanks Mrs MBK

I ordered mine on Sunday and received them today, what excellent service. They are all for a project I'm due to start this week, Lizzie*Kate's Halloween Rules. It's one of the SAL projects over at the Lizzie*Kate Lovers blog, just need to pick which fabric to stitch on now.
Don't they look lovely?

Mrs MBK and XandraS,
I'm still waiting for my Supporter payment to go through, so must be careful about what I say until I'm official (as I don't want to get spanked for spamming!), but thank you both so much for the glowing references

I'd love to pop a little something extra into your next orders by way of thanks, so please let me know who you are!

Not here yet of course but I just put in my order to 123 Stitch for 20 Ct Ivory Jobelan and 14 Ct Salt Carolina linen. I'm hoping that the larger counts will make it easier for me to restart my TOS project. I also ordered some DMC Pearl Cotton Sizes 3 and 5 (Michaels has a good selection of 5's which I got the other day, but no variegateds which I wanted) so I can start practicing my Hardanger stitches (got a book from the library) in anticipation of the Hardanger afghan I am hoping to do with Mabel's patterns. So I now have another reason to wait for the mailman (besides penpal letters - getting ready to write a few this week. I am late).

Nothing stitchy related but I did get a Pen Pal letter from Vanessa today. My mom's Christmas present, some movies I pre-ordered a month ago, and my light bill. If anyone wants the last one I will gladly let you have it!

Michael's has plastic boxes with dividers too. I have all my DMC colours on bobbins in 5 boxes, plus another for specialy threads, etc.

I use the plastic boxes for all my bobbins and for individual projects. I used to get them at Walmart but they don't carry them now. The Michaels near my house has them for $1.99 but in the beading section. Found them by accident there when I was looking for the Ott bulbs.
Very little in the cross stitch section except floss, hoops and some, but very few, accessories.

I have tried several times to get the actual photos up and they won't for some reason so I must be missing out a step in the process. So here is a link to photobucket of the rest of my new stash. The Victorian Charm is one and its in a SAL thread.
This is a picture of a kit by DMC of Koalas which I will be doing for a friend from the UK who is visiting next year.
The other is bit is fabric for the chart of the mouse and daisies and I going to start later today for my dear grand daughter EMily who will be 10 in mid October.
Sadly and bewilderingly her mother died suddenly by her own hand 10 days ago. Thankfully Em was with her father, my son at the time.
So I have kept the post lady busy on her scooter and van lately and there is still a package of magazines to come from a friend in the UK with Christmas stuff in it - hopefully today.
Sally
I'll be blowed it came up with the picture. Yipppeeeeee I did it right. Sally.

What a terrible thing for your granddaughter to have to deal with and at such a young age. Forgive me for saying but I have always thought that suicide is such a selfish act. Prayers for your family at a very difficult time.
The fabric is going to make a wonderful background for the picture.

Those will be lovely projects. And I'm sure your granddaughter will love her mouse. I am so sorry to hear about her mother, but know that you and all your family will give her the love and support she will need to get through this. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
