That is going to be absolutely stunning Mabel - Glorianas may be expensive but they are soooooooo worth it for special projects like this  !

You may remember I got 7 shopping bags from the Clever Baggers to put stitching on; I took some from my folders of stitched models which I'd already hemmed in the past, but four of them still needed hemming. I did one over the weekend, using four-sided edging, which I always think looks very neat but is very labour-intensive:

Then I decided to try blanket/buttonhole stitch on some of the other ones -- I'd done that on the two Delft patches, fold over the edge, do buttonhole stitch through both layers, tuck in the corners neatly, and cut the excess fabric as you finish each side (as with 4-sided), then sew onto the bag with double running stitch along the bottom of the buttonhole stitch, which makes it look like 4-sided with much less effort :-), and it's plenty secure too.

As I had two longish train journeys yesterday I took them with me and hemmed one on my way to London and one on my way back :-). Here they are, with a close-up of the back of the white one to show that it's quite a neat way of finishing a piece:

Hope to sew them all onto the bags some time in the next week or so!

Lovely hemming Mabel! Four-sided and buttonhole stitch are on my list of things I have to learn to do - they really finish off your pieces beautifully!

That black and gold look like something from medieval times, like a rich Castle's decor. Amazing!

I've been doing some recharting on Fruit -- some of the letter, DH pointed out, were not particularly clear, so I redid the u, y and v and am much happier with them now  .

I'm also working on several shopping bags, sewing labels in and patches on -- hope to have them on the site by the weekend!

And I worked out a method (well, several methods) for working Kloster blocks that are cut on both sides; the first part of it is up on my blog at the moment.

Hope to have update pictures of something in the next few days, either Fruit or the bags or possibly the Housework sampler which I'm itching to start -- or even a bit of Papillon, if I can get myself to restart....

Actually, you were the one who sparked the post :-) -- when you asked about it I started thinking how you could work them more conveniently!
