Well! It's been a while in coming, but here's October. I used Caron Watercolours 047 Camouflage (the centre rose is stitched with all three strands, undivided; and Anchor pearl cotton #8 268 (green) and 1028 (deep cranberry). I must say I really enjoy the surface stitching with these designs.

That is stunning!!! I have three months left too and have been thinking about them lately. My sister wondered when she saw the first 9 months stitched why I bothered doing any stitching besides Hardingers. Every time I get one of Mabel's Flights of Fancy I am reminded how much I miss her being here.
Looking forward to seeing your November and December pieces!

Lovely colours Serinde, so very autumnal!
Carole, I miss being here - but somehow I just can't seem to find the time

. I do occasionally look in, just haven't posted anything. And I've promised too often that I'd "do better" so I'm not going to promise anything, just hope that I can get back into the Forum habit. There is something really rewarding about being on a forum with lots of other people who love stitching as much as you do, and who understand why threads can be so satisfying, or a project so frustrating

I wasn't trying to make you feel bad, Mabel, and I truly understand how life has a way of taking over, as it usually should! Just wanting to let you know that you are missed and am glad to know that you stop in to see how things are going on. And I am glad that you were able to read that my sister really thinks that the Hardanger patterns that I have done are the most beautiful of all my projects! So thank you for those.

You didn't make me feel bad Carole - on the contrary! And do please thank your sister for her kind comments; it makes me very proud that you let me share in her appreciation for your stitching.

Told you I was catching up: here's November. The colours reflect the bleaching of hosta stems in particular and the quieting down of colour in my garden. The light is definitely going. I used Anchor pearl #5 1302 (Marble), DMC pearl #5 524 (sage green) and DMC pearl #5 734 (antique gold); Anchor #8 926 (cream) and finally Caron Wildflowers Rainforest (168) for the bits of colour.
