Hi Tracy,
Love the windmill, real outback scene and the numbers are gorgeous.
Glad you were away from the fires too. Yes Christmas is rolling on far too rapidly and having just got a bunch of end of year school function dates from my DIL, it looks as though most of December will not be stitching days. Guess I will have to reassess my schedule considerably.
Oh to be in the northern hemisphere with that lovely snow. We have Brisbane weather at present, steamy, stuffy and not nice.
They also only have Christmas to plan for without the addition of all the lovely end of year school functions. I love being able to go and see my grandkids get their certificates and things and hear their concerts etc. Adds to the Christmas sparkle.

So my sister is one of those people who it is impossible to come up with presents for, and when you ask them what they want, they have no idea. Earlier in the year I bought a piece of lavendar 28ct evenweave (with nothing in mind for it). It dawned on me when I was edging it that my sister

purple and in the Cross Stitcher 2009 Calendar that one of the lovely ladies on this forum had sent me earlier in the year, was a couple of designs suitable for her. So I decided that I would stitch Honey Bun and Gym Bunny for her. Then to use the rest of the fabric I decided that I would stitch Choc-a-holic and Couch Potato for me. I decided that I wouldn't stitch the background as I wanted to purple to show through.
Designs from calendar:

The other thing I

about these designs is that they stitch up really quickly - two evenings and a lunchtime and the first one is finished:

I've got that calender in my stash, and was thinking that coloured fabric would look good and save a lot of stitching

-- good to see that "in action"!

Wow, loads of lovely work since I last looked! I adore the windmill, it's exactly my sort of thing. The numbers are lovely too, I was very tempted when I saw them on EMS, but think they will have to wait in my huge stash pile!
The bunnies are very cute and will make lovely gifts.

I like the ones you have chosen to do, and good idea to not do the background
