Oh wow! I love Evening, the colours are great! Is it just one variegated thread or more?

Wow. I just got caught up on what you've done or completed this week. I am also amazed that you have only been doing this for a year and a half. Your designs and work are just beautiful. I so want to try one. Are the directions easy to follow? I think I might have to take a trip and go to one of your groups! What an excuse to visit England! I really love castles and we don't have any here.

I think your seasons and your Round the Clock Series are just beautiful and all so delicate.

Oh, I love those shades! Perfect for evening, that mellow blue, the burnt amber and a dark pink for a sunset.. Which filling stitches did you use in this one?

@ tiffstitch: Evening uses wrapped bars, X-bars and Greek crosses

@ rcperryls: The chart packs aren't meant to take the place of a course, so won't explain, for example, how to start with a waste knot; it'll say something like "using DMC perle #5 321 fasten on, then come up at A" (where A is a spot marked on the diagram). Generally there is one section which has the stitch diagrams with explanations, and one which has the directions, e.g. which thread to use for which part of the design, and in what order to stitch them. The directions will also have hints like "if you are finding it difficult to take the thread through the wrapped bars, change to a size 28 needle or take the thread the long way round through the surrounding Kloster blocks". And the diagrams will explain things like how to turn a corner when doing four-sided edging.
If you would like to see what the chart packs are like, you can download the freebie on Caron's Designer Spotlight (click on online class, then scroll down to the download PDF.

Finished North at my stitching group this afternoon, the blue I used is quite light but does give the icy effect I was after; it's not easy to photograph though! This series uses chain stitch instead of the double cable stitch of the other two series, and I must say I like the effect :-). This series also has different cutting patterns, and I'm aiming for a simple but quite textural look -- I'll add a close-up to show what I mean.

Yes, they are -- those Kloster blocks have of course not been cut, so they are simply four french knots very close together surounded by four Kloster blocks

 uhm, I don't know... There are one or two loops that aren't quite as regular as I'd like, but on the hole they seem to form themselves pretty regularly by themselves! Perhaps it helps that when I come up, I pin the thread to the fabric above the chain stitch with my left hand, then take the needle down the same hole and guide the thread with that hand, and keep guiding it when coming up again and catching the loop and pulling through. (Hope that makes sense)
