What a beautiful card! Just right and not over sentimental. The colours and the wording are perfect!
I'm sure it will be well received.

Thank you all for your kind words -- I just hope it will be helpful, and a reminder when they do need something that we are there to help.

Today is my last stitching group until after the summer holiday (we break up early this year) :-( so I wanted to finish the goody bags to show; and I managed to finish them this morning! Here they are:

The series of twelve is complete   -- pics at the end of this post, but first a bit of waffle :-)

Because the three sets of four have definitely become a series of twelve, I thought I'd do a bit of renaming. So Mabel's Fancies proudly presents:

A Round Dozen

consisting of Round the Year, Round the Clock, and Round the World.

I've grown rather fond of this series, and so I've put on a special offer for Cross Stitch Forum members here.

Oh, and here's the last instalment, East (and a close-up of my own invention, the Chinese Lantern stitch :-))

Mabel,
these are just gorgeous. :applesauce: :applesauce: I would get them in a skinny minute, but I think I need to go to England and get classes in how to do this. I just love them. I think I would be happy doing HAED's and your patterns forever. (Neither of which I have ever done of course).

So, I will just admire them from afar for now.

Well, whenever you feel confident to try without coming to England, I'll be happy to give advice in this thread or by PM :-)

The whole series looks great Mabel :) How long will you run your special offer for? I definitely want to get them, but need to wait for pay day :)

Can't wait to see what's next on your stitch list :)

Those bags are beautiful, Mabel. I think the thought that went into making that card for your friends is fantastic. I always struggle to find the words for situations like these. I'm sure that with their faith, that will be a great comfort.
