I had a nice handful of pretty Crescent Colours and GAST arrive yesterday, but I'm afraid I haven't got around to taking a photo. What I did take a photo of is my pretty buttons that arrived this morning.

They're to go with this chart that I bought a few months ago.

Both orders came from The Patchwork Rabbit which I've started to use for CC and GAST threads as her prices are great and the customer service is excellent.

That New York chart looks awesome! As a New Yorker I'd love to stitch one... where did you get it?

Love the Victoria Sampler kits. Will you be doing a thread for those in the SAL forum? I 'need' to see them being stitched :)

those look beautiful. Are they Hardanger patterns? I just got the afghan patterns today from mabel and hope to spend time this week-end practicing them before I actually put one on the afghan cloth. I also hope that you are going to do an SAL on your progress with these.

I will do a thread when I start them - after I've done a bit more hardanger and brushed up on my drawn and pulled thread techniques!
rcperryls wrote:Are they Hardanger patterns?
They are a mixture of a lot of different techniques - hardanger is featured at the top of each sampler and then there is a mixture of various stitches and drawn and pulled threadwork, couching and beadwork - quite a challenge!!

The New York kit is by Thea Gouverneur. I wanted it for a long time, as we got married in New York! I got mine from this site -

http://www.xstitchcrafts.com/cross-stit ... unt-p-5114" target="_blank" target="_blank

That was the cheapest that I could find it in the UK. I think it's a lot more expensive in the states. It is a big project, 31" by 20" !

 What fun you will have with these. There is nothing that you can't do now with such a wonderful collection of thread. Keep the grin for a while. It's so good to be able to feel good and show it!
