Mounted Amanda's wedding card -- I originally intended to back with blue felt then wadding, to cushion the ribbon, but it wouldn't work. I had to cut the felt so that it backed the holes but not the ribbons but that showed through with the top half looking darker than the bottom half. So in the end, as the card was dark blue anyway, I decided to leave out the felt and just put a small bit of wadding directly behind the ribbons. Seems to have done the trick

The card looks very pretty and dare to be different looks fab.
I think the stitching with the crewel wool is fine, good coverage.

While travelling to the wedding yesterday (which was lovely, and the bride was beautiful) I finished the last few stitches on my handbag project, another stained glass tulip. 18ct white aida and DMC floche, with stranded cotton for the black:
