That will be a long ..... slow..... process!!  Probably do them as I need them - or I'll end up in hospital with severe arm damage!!

I put them on bobbins as I need them. Eventually you get them all done. I have a whole set and keep extras (which I tend to accumulate also - I live in fear I think of running out of a color I need at 2am or something)in the little plastic floss bags (which are getting harder to find in the stores)so I can "bobbinate" (great word)them as I need them.

What a lovely armfull of DMC :)

I don't know about bobbinating them, but I don't think I'd like to Stitchbow them all in one go either.

Got my very late copy of WOXS yesterday. I like the freebie this month. I haven't played with Madeira threads before so I'll enjoy using those.

The New York kit is by Thea Gouverneur. I wanted it for a long time, as we got married in New York! I got mine from this site -

http://www.xstitchcrafts.com/cross-stit ... unt-p-5114" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank

That was the cheapest that I could find it in the UK. I think it's a lot more expensive in the states. It is a big project, 31" by 20" ![/quote]

Thank you! I will certainly check it out!

Not the postie, but a friend visiting from the Netherlands brought some fabrics -- lots of 25ct lugana in antique white, and an experiment -- 25ct Sambuca, which is like an Afghan fabric!

She is :-) -- she was my matron of honour and is my absolute bestest friend! I was so pleased she offered to be courier, as the fabric is cheaper from that Dutch shop but having it posted here would make it more expensive again, so they send it to my Mum and she picked it up from there and brought it with her.

Not from the postman, but my Dad came round last night with a box of goodies for me. My Step-Mum's mother was clearing out and was just going to bni a load of stuff till my Dad stepped in. It's a selection of embroidery threads and tapestry yarns. Mostly the latter, but a fair few of the former. Once I've sorted through them all, I'll probably list the tapestry yarns for a swap or something. :)

Postie brought me the Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornaments Issue. SO many designs to stitch, so little time.

On an un-postie related note, I went by our local charity shop and found a plastic snap frame there priced at £4, decided to by it, took it to the till and it turned out they were doing half price on everything so I got a 17x17 inch frame for £2. It looks like it's hardly been used and perfect for my bigger projects.
