meant to add, on the plates cup and bowls the letter on the chart is P, i presume p for pirate. I decided to change it to S for shaun :D

and i love the snail climbing up the side of the ship, i had no idea what it was when i was stitching him till i got to the backstitching chart hehe

This is so cute and you are right on the brink of finishing. Hope you can get it to the frame lady on your trip to the cake store.

What a great fun project! I like these cut-through designs, but have never tried one. I need to find a kid to stitch one for! :)

Fantastic Lisa. There is so much to look at and enjoy in these designs and the back stitching really brings it to life. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

IT'S FINISHED!!!!

Went to see the frame lady (although she was off and it was her husband working) and hes advised me to go back once I've washed and dried it as it may shrink (and you remember maggie's extra bit don't you  ).

He also gave me a few quotes, for me to buy the frame and mount and frame it at home (I would have to but an extra mount board as I want to try the lacing technique of framing and I forgot to ask how much that would be) it would cost £20.50 for it to get professionally framed would be £30.50. Not much difference at all, but I may have a look on ebay as money is very tight at the moment, but at least i have a guideline.

now, new project new needle

I will be working on this:
Image

I missed Paul's aunt and uncles 25th wedding anniversary and felt bad ever since as it a big anniversary to have, so I wanted to do something special for thier 30th. She loves daffodils as much as me  she even has a front door with a daffodil glass panel  you go in her living room and you are hit with daffodils and Paddington Bear. So I thought this would make a lovely gift for them.

not sure how clear it is in the photo but it is Daffodils by William Wordsworth. I think Sarah did this poem?? It shouldnt take too long :shifty:

I'm stitching it on 18ct and will be 189high x 110wide (stitches not cm  ) and only uses 8 colours :D

Wow. The pirates are spectacular. I love these designs but they look quite complex to stitch.
The daffodils are lovely too. Two very different projects!

well i started the daffs, started to feel tired but only had 2 lines left to finish the verse, little did i know it would take me longer to do those 2 lines than it did for the other 4 lines

I really love this finished project, as much as I've loved seeing it grow. You've been great at this and you're lucky if you love backstitch, because it makes details so relevant in this work. Great job!
