I got my order from Sew and So, which means I'll be sending out my stashmas pressie any minute now. I also got 100 skeins of DMC from Across Town Stitching, 60 of them I needed to kit up a few projects, the other 40 are going towards completing my DMC collection, fun fun fun

I just got my order for Stashmas, and also a book I bought on Amazon for 1 penny!!!! - basically just paid postage.
My favourite author, Maggie O´Farrel´s latest book: The hand that first held mine.

Got my order from Sparklies yesterday:
13x18" 28ct lugana Moonlighting
13x18" 28ct lugana Purpleberry Spludge
Now I just have to work out the exact threads I want to use for the projects.
Moonlighting - AAN Sweet Moon - I intend to use the white HDF silk for the majority of the design, but can't decide which of the silver Kreinik I want for the highlights
Purpleberry Spludge - Butterfly - I had planned on just doing the butterfly in one colour, the lemon creme (yellow) silk from HDF, but when I ordered the colours I also ordered a floss 'grab bag', which included the maroon and green, so now I'm considering doing the butterfly in all three - green for the body of the butterfly, maroon for the edges of the wings and then yellow for the fill.

Opinions welcome!

Oh, Moonlightinh looks much lighter than I'd imagined! I saw it at the K&S show and wanted to order some, but I remember it as much darker and brighter

will have to think again.
I got some yummy Caron threads, some for Isobel's "I" doorhanger, some for a future Hardanger project, some just to try

Those Sparklies fabrics look gorgeous!
I had a small parcel come from Sew and So. I'm going to be starting another SAL with my friend soon and needed the fabric for it. It looked a bit lonely in the basket all by itself. I found a chart in my wishlist and added that and the required threads and buttons and it looked a lot happier
I only took a photo of the new threads and buttons, I'm afraid but I may have a photo of the finished project very soon as it's coming along very quickly.

No, their prices are a bit steep for me. I had a look on eBay and ended up buying this one

I got the Carpenter's apron pattern from Mauveme (Linda). I mentioned that something like that falls in line with DH and FIL since they own their own home repair/remodel company, and she kindly sent it to me.

Ooh! Thanks for the heads up! I have a commission starting in January which requires some pink 16-count aida and I've just managed to get some for a knock-down price - hurrah!

Got some new to me threads - Edmar Rayon Iris threads from
Viking Loom the only online shop in the UK that I could find them in! Apparently they are used in Brazillian Embroidery (new to me) but I need them for CGM, hence why they are lovely shiny shades in black and red.

Not here yet, but I just ordered the sample fabrics from Cross Stitch Heaven. I know so little about different counts and types and decided to just get some samples before I make any plunge to try some new things. The one shop I was hoping to go to near here is much more needlepoint (which I think is called tapestry in England?) focused, though she told me on the phone that they have the best selection of thread in the area so I will make the trip there eventually. The other store I will have to get to (and it isn't far, its just not easy to park etc)will have more fabrics etc. Since I have some patterns I have downloaded (like the freebie chatelaines) I need to branch out from the afghan cloth. Another new adventure!
