Thanks for all your comments!

I've now picked up the Time FOr God bookmarks again -- because of several unexpected events it would be really good if I could finish them by the 23rd of October, so from now on I am only allowed to stitch these!

I made some progress on #2 last night, as you can see I'm not doing complete bands this time but all the lettering first:

Deadline has just been brought forward to October 13th -- and I'm away for three days next week  *panics*
Fairly quiet weekend this weekend so hopefully will be able to get on well with them, but it's going to be tight. Not helped by the fact that DH was in an accident late last night and we are now without a car -- we're going to have to use the 1925 car as our every-day transport :-) which is rather fun but not quite so convenient (or warm and waterproof...) as a modern car!
PS both DH and the other party were OK, and that's the main thing!

Glad nobody was seriously hurt in the accident and that you have to use a 1925 car, but on the other hand - how cool to be driving a 1925 car!

Sorry to hear about your DH but glad everyone is ok. Love the bag and I see what you mean about it being different with different backgrounds.

I am sure you will get the bookmarkes done in time.

Finished the words on one of them  -- I'll now do the words on the other and then fill in all the colours.

I finally got round to taking a pic of all the Madonnas and also all the little hardangers for my stitching group ladies -- I couldn't remember if I'd shown those as a group already.

So here they are -- 10 mini hardangers:

and 24 Madonnas (you can click on the pic for a bigger one):

Mabel you have a talented bunch of ladies, the hardangers looks great.

Your madonnas are terrific. :applesauce: It amazes me how they are all the same but all look different. The one that catches my eye is the last one on the third line. I don't know what it is about it but its so luminas

Thanks for posting pictures of them all together! Quite stunning!! I've just started to try and do a bit of hardanger samples--found that 22 count hardanger is definitely not good for coverage using the #5 perle--and it's not much better using 25 count lugana--what are your recommendations for fabric using #5 or #8 perle thread?
