Can I go into teacher mode and very very gently chide you, Richard? Jo's work is beautiful, and so is yours, and so is practically everything I see here, whether or not it's my taste and whether or not I'd ever do it myself.
Please don't go into comparisons, because I'm not sure you can compare people's stitching (unless they've all entered a competition and you're comparing certain technical or design points, I suppose) - each one is different, and each one is unique as it is made by a unique stitcher.
My work is mostly very small, and if I ever started comparing it with all the beautiful HAEDs and Scarlet Quinces and your own gorgeous honeymoon portrait, I might easily get discouraged; but small is what I do, and so the only thing I try to compare it with (if i compare at all) is my own work, and what I think I could do at my best - if it's the best I can do, and I like the look of it, then I'm happy
