Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. Let me tell you a little secret - if this wasn't a design my younger daughter had particularly liked and chosen, I may very well have dumped it myself! Such are the pains we suffer for love!

You know, I think I may transfer this to a wood scroll frame. This soft evenweave is being badly pulled by the snap frame. It's fine with aida, but not with this.

Another update. I placed a single line of the backstitching to help me accurately position the corner butterfly, and another to position the leaf below it. And after completing the motifs, I decided to do all the backstitch lines in that corner! I'm rather pleased with the effect. The butterfly body was backstitched so as not to waste the last bit of black thread.

Oh! And I finally bought the thread to make the TW Needlecase - ('Teresa's Needles - Touch 'em and you're toast!') I just love that design.
