Thanks all! I have gotten lots done since... got fed up with the sky so I took a break and started the other half of the cabin. I'm sick right now so I am just trying to get all my work done so I can cross stitch all weekend
I've selected some other projects to start soon too... not sure if I want to finish this then start em, or work on them all together.
Have this kit:
Then waiting to order all the stuff to make these:
I looooove winter nighttime scenes and winter charts in general, but the first kit's colours really got to me and the sunflower bee is for my mom.

Wow, I love the new projects you have lined up! If it were me, I wouldn't be able to resist starting them all.

Looking forward to your next update on the cabin and hope you soon feel better. Stitching all weekend sounds like a great way to spoil yourself.

Those are some really fascinating pattern you have picked. All very beautiful but I must say the snowman is the one I want to see going the most.....

Loving your progress with the cabin and the colours are fantastic.
I can't have too large many projects on the go at once as I like to see myself making progress and if I have more than 2 the progress isn't fast enough for me
I love the snowman, especially the magical feel it exudes. I would find that hard to resist

Great work on the cabin!
I love the bee picture, those petals have so much texture.

good work on the cabin. And hard to not start some of your new and awesome projects. I would be torn between the bee/flower and the snow scene. I'd probably start both of those and then be in a tizzy as to which to do when. Maybe figure out some kind of schedule and then try hard to stick to it?

I should have a new update picture soon!
BF ordered me all of the stuff to do the sunflower bee today... threads, 18-count aida and a bunch of accessories (needles, rulers, hoops, yay!). I'll wait on getting the snowman I think, and start this one when it comes. Maybe I can finish the aurora cabin by then?
I do like to see it all coming together... so I am not sure if I will create a schedule or just rotate. My bf got me a big craft storage tower/drawer dealie so it will be easier to store projects between working on them.... currently I just put each kit in a large ziplock bag and keep all my stitchy stuff in a backpack next to the couch.
I was torn between fabrics, I've never worked on anything but aida before... but then my Italian Vista kit arrived and I was able to see how small 18-count aida actually is, and I think that is small enough to work with. The finished design will be larger but I like that, because it is such a labour-intensive project it will be nice to give my mom a big framed piece

Almost a month since my last update and more than 1/2 done!

PS those are wet spots from misting and ironing, I haven't been eating french fries while stitching.

This is beautiful. You are making really good progress. I really love the colors in this wintry scene. The shadows are so pretty.

Your aurora cabin is beautiful! And if I had to choose, I'd go for the italian vista next...maybe it's just my eye really likeing the Dimensions Gold kits. (I've never given them a lot of thought before - maybe I should check them out myself!)
