Before I started my Papillon Creations SAL this weekend I stitched a bit on my Vine. I can see this one is going to be my salvation while I am stitching two other projects on 28ct evenweave!

As I'm not sure whether we are having a communal SAL or our own threads I am posting my weekend progress here. The counting is the most time consuming thing for me. I am constantly checking that I have everything in the right holes! Apart from that I enjoyed what have done so far and love the effect. I went with Madeira Glisson Gloss deep red metallic thread in the end and it is so easy to stitch with.


That's my first ever lazy daisy stitch.Not even petals all around but there are a lot more to stitch, so I'll get the practice in on them

Lesley that is absolutely gorgeous and aren't those colours wonderful. A fabulous start to an interesting SAL.

Love your vine one too and yes it will be a lovely break one for you between other things more complicated. Great start.

Lovely start to Around the World . I spent most of yesterday frogging my heart interior due to miscounting so really appreciate the counting issues! Great daisy too - it's my first time on these as well so taking them very slowly. Have you had fastening on problems with them? It's been taking me ages to fasten it on securely.

Yes,I have found it quite tricky to keep the petal shape and fasten them as well. I think that is why my daisy is not an even shape.
I'm sorry to hear Mr has been. I don't think he's to far way from me either! Infact I think he is getting his recruits ready!!

Beautiful stitching

That is beautiful. I hope I can get this one right. I had so much trouble at first with counting when I did TOS that I just about gave up. I probably ought to get the regular cross stitch pattern now, just in case! You are doing an amazing job so far. Love the colors you have picked.

Beautiful updates! I completely missed your progress on the rose, I love that one, and nice work on the Vine as well. Your stitching on the Papillon ATW80 looks great to me.
