I agree that stitching the same design over and over can get to be too much. I've gotten lucky so far in that the first time I stitch the design, it takes a long time and I make mistakes. The second time goes a bit smoother, and then I start getting the hang of them. I want to get all of the huts stitched while I remember how to stitch them!

Back to a HAED! Mini Queen of Shadows:

I'm amazed at how much I got stitched! There wasn't much confetti, and I never realized that it makes that big of a difference. I've gotten about half of first page done now.

I think staying inside during all of the heat helped too . . .

We're lucky if we get below 80 degrees at night (26 degrees celsius).

Great progress on your Mandala and you're getting on with your HAED too

. Sorry you're feeling the heat

. We've just had the wettest three months on record (April, May and June) here in the UK and according to the boffins there's no end in sight to the rain. All to do with the jet stream being further south than it is normally at this time of year. Some places in our area had 70% of their usual July rainfall TODAY. There's no end of flooding in houses and shops.

. I understand you guys across the pond have been having the opposite problem and are having wildfires. I hope you are all ok

Your mini is coming along beautifully. It does move quicker in those sections that don't have a lot of confetti. It reminds me of watching a suspense movie when there are periods of relief so you can catch your breath before the tension builds again.

I love this one and am looking forward to your updates.

I've never done a Chatelaine but after seeing how beautiful your is I'm thinking at some point I will try one.
