Thank you all for your kind comments. Really helps to keep me going on this. I think it's a bit easier because I never really have had a chance to stitch most of the actual picture rather than background.

And yes, despite my best efforts with the tweezers, specialty thread always manages to show up. Shirley seems to be getting better again. We were trying to withdraw her from the steroids slowly and were down to 1/4 tablet a day, but she relapsed, so we are back to 1/2 tablet a day and she has perked up. I'm hoping we won't have to go back to twice a day. She doesn't love getting pills. The vet said we might try again to decrease the dosages but not for a while. It's so hard to watch because she looks so pitiful when she doesn't feel well. But she does get extra lap time.

YAY! Page 2 is done. YAY! Page 2 is done. My supervisors weren't near as interested in this piece.
Shirley loves laps and I don't think cares what gets in the way


This is how Laverne ended up after trying desperately to sit on top of my stitching, climbing up and over my chair and shoulder and generally letting me know attention should have gone to her. I don't think she likes all the black. Much more interesting if I'm starting and stopping threads I guess, though she doesn't go after them.


The part after stitching the chain really went fast as it is a much smaller amount to do. Page 3 is probably 90% black with just a small bit of chain in the lower right corner which will be something to look forward to. Not looking forward to all the black, but easy to stitch while watching the tube.
Here's pages 1 and 2 finished. 4 and 1/2 to get caught up!


mini Feeling Better is going to be a lot more fun for a while.
