Page 8 is done and the whole thing is 2/3 complete! Only 4 more pages to go. The font difference between Anno & 2013 doesn't seem as bad now that I look at the whole thing.
If you look closely at those 2 big flowery motifs that I was complaining about their placement, you'll see my other mistake - using skeins out of different dye lots. The shade difference is easier to see in the left motif in this picture. It's more obvious in person and can be seen in both left & right motifs. Nothing I can do about it now...just one more thing that makes this unique I guess.

Like you say, the slight change in colour due to different dye lots makes this piece unique :D

It looks amazing, great job! It just looks like you used variegated floss to me... I don't think it detracts on the piece at all, it's beautiful!

And don't forget that when they originally stitched these pieces, the difference between one batch of dyeing and the next would probably have been even greater, so just another touch of authenticity!

Page 9 is done! It took me a day longer than normal because of all those stitches in the pony's body! (plus Thanksgiving & getting very little sleep due to my daughter not feeling well)
