We'll sit here quietly together then....I'm totally out of focus after laser treatment to my right eye....lots of bright green light but on the whole a not too unpleasant experience. Totally pain free procedure.

 Hope that the recovery is as quick and as painless as your laser surgery. Rest up and have some :tea: and :cake: and in no time I'm sure you will be seeing great and making up for stitching time lost.

Thanks! So comfortable and calm here. :cloud9:

Eye less sore today so I expect that I'll be discharged later. 8) 8)

Mind you, I might just hang on in here so that I can swerve the ironing just one more day!!!

*Serinde adopts best concerned-medic tone* I totally agree. All that looking down is bad for your eyes.

I think my migraine is almost gone (mine last for days, not total agony all the time, but still pretty grim). This time 5 days, and I still feel as if I were recovering from concussion. During migraines I can't talk very well, and I make waay more mistakes stitching - but I didn't let that stop me!

I will go back to the doc and admit defeat - its pills for the rest of my life, I fear.

Poor Ruthi! Migraines are the absolute Pits!! Cool Pillows and dark space prepared for you.

I developed one at work....talked utter RUBBISH! Next thing I knew they had me downstairs for a Brain Scan!  One of the advantages of working in a Hospital!
Luckily it was all OK and they sent me home. Obviously couldn't do anything about the state of my head! :tizzy: :tizzy: :tizzy:

Thank you Wendy! I have had these 'atypical' migraines all my adult life, on and off. Currently I am in an 'on' time, and unfortunately I have reached the stage that all the painkillers that work are off limits for one reason or another. So my doc suggested a trial of low dose amitriptyline as a preventative. The headaches went after a month or so, but came back a month after the end of the trial.

Maybe I have a permanent migraine, and that is why everyone thinks I am wierd (except for other dog loving stitchers, that is).

Wow! A full house in here this week. Hope everyone is on the mend and back to stitching soon. I think time spent in this Ward definitely is the best medicine around. Always works and there are never bad sad effects to the treatment. And you can't do chores (like ironing) when under Dr. Serinde's care, which is an extra added benefit!

Yes I am home!! I was referring to being discharged from St Crossstitcher's!! (trust a Wombat not to make herself clear!!)
My eye was treated in the local eye clinic and I was home straight after it was done. I'm back to normal duties now, still not supposed to lift or drive this week. Can't fly for 6 months either.
Still swerving the hoovering and gardening too! not supposed to bend down too long.

I hope you're fully over your migraine!

I've had that itchy scratchy feeling in the back of my throat for several days now but I really haven't gotten sick. I'm hoping it will pass and that it doesn't develop in to something worse.

Presumably you know now whether you got the interview. Luckily, you only get notification, so you have plenty of time to go through your usual routine for settling the IBS prior to the real thing. Interviews are always exciting/scary. Am I correct in thinking that the better you prepare, the less likely the IBS will be a factor on the day? Take super good care of yourself!
