I like that card, Serinde! With the little creek behind my house having frozen a bit overnight, it seems like the perfect card for January! A darker fabric might have made it easier to see the ice and snow, but the white background gives it that kind of misty wintry feeling which I like.

Here's January's card! Unfortunately it's pretty much the Eye of Faith that can see the detail (should have done it on darker blue fabric). But it is quite sparkly -- including a river of ice!
I think it's quite lovely just the way it is! Though if I may make a suggestion - maybe line the back of the stitching with a piece of white fabric? That way the red card won't show through the holes in the aida. I find myself focusing on the little dots rather than the stitching whenever I look at it. I think that might also help to make the design more prominant.

You know, I never noticed. Perhaps it's not so obvious in real life, but that's a good suggestion and I'll check.
Will do the finishing part after I search through my fabric bin to see what I will use for the backing. They will be made into pillow ornaments. These small ornaments that are on my "to be stitch" list will keep my needle smoking and hopefully I will be able to reach one of my 2014 goals! ( 12 ornaments )
Those animals are so adorable! They are going to be great ornaments!

Finally got around to starting my January ornament! It's pretty quick going so I should be done this month! I have to sub colors out since I don't have them, but I think it's looking nice so far!
