This weeks update:
I'm aiming to be 1/3rd done by the end of this week, next week is a write off as I'll be visiting parents and so will not be taking this with me!
Still looking like a tight deadline to be done by Christmas but I'm hopeful.

Well I've been away (lots of progress on my portable project)
Getting less and less pleased with that one as it goes on. Hopefully the back stitching will help at the end. Doubt it's going to be framed though.
Anyway a dilemma:
I followed the chart for Parkland Waters and the chart said do the cygnet beaks and bottom of the rock in brown.
The picture shows the beaks and rock in dark grey.
I think I'm going to be

ing the brown and redoing in grey as it just looks _wrong_. *sigh* Plus all the cygnet pictures on google have grey beaks I'll have to assume it's a mistake in the chart.

Oh, sorry to know about that mistake on the chart for your Parkland Waters project.

Really is not good when you have to frog something.
...and don't worry on your fairy project...it'll come alive with the backstitching.

Great progress with the swans,

it is so annoying when the pattern has a mistake in it.
The fairy I am sur will look better with the backstitching, lovely work

Eek! almost a month since the last proper picture. Sorry about that but life intervened (holiday and family wedding)
Here's the next update. With the rocks and beak now in grey and another bird has appeared!
I'm hoping to get the 2 small ducks done in the next week and bring me into line with the ?goose's? head. That way the top page will be 1/2 done and most of the top half is half cross so will hopefully go quicker.
Deadline still looking dicey!

It's 16 count aida so not too bad and I have a light over my shoulder. The chart can be tricky when it's all dark greens though.
