My computer was acting stupid so I had an update but it wouldn't load. So you get 2 for the price of one. :D

Not getting as much stitching time as I would like. All day yesterday was spent packing up the Christmas decorations and putting the house back to regular life. Then a hockey game last night and clothes washing today. So I hope to finish before the New Year but no guarantees.

I am very excited I actually finished her before the end of the year. I was wondering if I would. Been very busy with all the Christmas stuff going on. :D

Here it is all stitched

Next is how I pull out the waste canvas

This is with all of the vertical threads pulled out

She is currently in the wash and then a dry with some pressing and she is a done deal ready to go with the other 20.

Getting closer and closer.

Congratulations on a magnificent finish - she's beautiful!! :applesauce: :applesauce:

I expect you have answered this question many times before, so forgive me for not finding the posts, but I assume you are doing all the Mirabilia (?) Angels. How many are there and what is it you are stitching them onto? How will you display them when they are done?

I'm a big fan of your work Rose, you always chose such delightful projects! Here's to the next one ...

Well I am not doing all of the Mirabilia's as some of them are to big for the size of the square I am using. I am doing 20 angels and then they are going to be quilted into a blanket for my daughter. On the back side I am going to stitch the Guarding Angel from L&L so I have a bit more to go but I am getting excited to finish these so I can get going on the quilting part. I am doing them on cotton fabric with the waste canvas. I have changed some of the colors as my daughter loves purple so where I can I switch it up so she has lots of that color.

Here she is all washed and ironed

Close up of the faces. I love the angels but wish the faces had a bit more detail to them.

 Wow! (Need an "in awe" smilie!!)

What an inspired and inspiring heirloom piece you are gifting to your daughter and her heirs.

I would treasure something like that all my days!

I see what you mean about the faces, although in a way I rather like that "undetailed" look because you can give the angel exactly the right face in your imagination. It's a wonderful piece of work and so special!
