He everyone,

Well it's been a long while and as so often happens, life has got in the way again of my stitching. I haven't been online much either lately so have a lot of catching up to do to see what you've all been up to.

Anyway this is as far as I have got with Misty ...

Image

Almost finished page three then what with Mum being in hospital (she's fine now), my brother getting sick (likely diagnosis is Crohn's but is still having tests to confirm 100%), work shift patterns changing for the worse, and with my husband still not able to work due to his illness (and not being eligible for ANY benefits as I work and we have no children) I've also got a CCJ hearing at the end of the month (despite being on a repayment plan through CCCS), washing machine died, microwave died, bed broke - even the small stuff seems insurmountable at times - all this has had it's toll on me and I had to have a course of betablockers to calm things down - I felt so ill I thought I was dying - seems silly now but anxiety is a terrible thing.

With all this going so I have decided to take a break from Misty and do something simpler for a while - I am doing a kit called Simple Treasures for which I'll start a new thread - Meanwhile Misty has been put to bed for a while.

BTW - I found out the scene is by an artist who writes books set in a fantasy world - as I understand it Weniera is the name of a lake in this fantasy world.

I'm off to start my new WIP thread now and then to catch up on everyone elses progress...and sorry to have bored you with the litany of personal disasters I listed above!!

So sorry to hear about the difficulties, and yes, anxiety can really paralyse you, glad you're feeling a little better with that!
Misty is looking great (thanks for the explanation of the name!), but I can quite see why you'd like something a little less challenging -- looking forward to seeing your new project!

Flumpz, you need to make sure you look after yourself! Try not to let the anxiety take over. I've been there and I know it's not nice. Thinking of you lots.

Sorry to hear you've been having such a rough time. Misty looks fantastic but can see why you feel like something brighter and lighter. Hope you're able to resolve everything soon.
