I love those beads. Can't wait to see them on the design.

I found myself looking for fabric for A Christmas Song,

14ct light blue aida is recommended. I want to stitch with 14ct but I did my LHN with 16ct light blue aida so I wanted something different.I found a lovely light blue vintage aida in 14ct

and my postie delivered it today. The photo doesn't do the subtle mottled effect justice. It is just perfect

So, I went a little purchase crazy a couple weeks back. Some of you may have seen the picture of the giant pile of floss ... Well, my orders from Witch Stitch 'n' Bits came today and then I put my printer through it's paces.

Image

Image This will become a pillow for my Dad's armchair.

Image This is for a friend who's a little goth and a lotta fun.

Image This one's all mine, baby!

Image This one will become a door hanging after a little tweaking by adding "Happy Howl-oween"

Image This one looked lighter on the website. I may need to adjust the colours. This one is destined for a life as a pillow on my guest bedroom.

Image Another one bound for pillow-hood. A friend of mine says he travels the world through the words of his favourite authors. His reading chair needs a map, right?

Image I'll extend the lower section of the frame so I can put my friends' names and wedding date in. To be, are you ready for it, framed!

Image I love the stone texture in this one. I'm removing the English text. This one will be part if a cover for a friend's gun safe. Bet you haven't heard that one before!

Image No idea where this one is bound or how I'll finish it. Just liked it!

Image This one will be a book cover, I think.

Image This one is a tapestry chart. I'd like to give it a try one day, I think.

Between this and the two HAED charts I'm waiting on, I should be busy ... For a couple of years!

they are lovely and would take me more than a couple of years. How will you ever decide what to start with?

Pretty fabric Meerkat. Perfect for that chart :)

That's a smashing lot of charts you have there Genghiscon. All lovely, but I like the Masai Mara one the best. That's beautiful. Love the idea of putting the one on a gun safe. Definitely not heard that one before :D

I received my advent exchange gifts this morning (from another forum). One gift for each day of December up to, and including, Xmas day. :) I can hardly wait to open them!

You know when you can't sit still because something has just made you so happy? Well I got something I ordered a little while ago and didn't think I was getting till the end of the year, they came - my two cabinets from Touchwood, i ordered them to my specs and they are just what I wanted, it will take me a while to fill them as I am a neat freak! but it will give me hours of enjoyment (sad!) only trouble is I can't start just now as I have stitching work to finish first, at least I can look at them and drool a bit?

Yes girls, I promise I will take some pictures soon, and yes I do know how lucky I am, I just thought one day that I was always buying for others and stuff and never got for myself and with my stitching work and my last cheque I thought ' why not, it is time I treated myself for once in a lifetime?' And so before I talked myself out of it I ordered what I wanted and I do not regret it one bit! This time it is for me!
Believe me girls, I can't wait to fill the drawers up and organise everything, I want pictures too!!!

Ohh la la.. These two are fantastic patterns. I could see making either one of these into some sort of cover for my new Kindle Fire.
