Ooohh.. so nice to meet Odessa. (Had to log in when I was at home last night.. dang these filters, don't they know I have stitching to look at??)
Really like that stitch you've used in the corners.

Here's a non-Hardanger ? for you, Mabel. In the finishings section (btw, I am now in AWE of all y'all that posted those finishings.... BEAUTIFUL work!) you had a box-top with a very specific alphabet sampler (for stitchers). Is it one of your own designs (& is it available over on the fancies website?)
I understand samplers from the historical view, but for me, I've never really "got" the sampler for modern times....but this stitchy one caught my fancy

I'm not Mabel, but I know the sampler you mean. It's from Little House Needleworks, their
Necessities Sampler

Yup, that's the one!
I used Appleton's crewel wool, so my colours are a bit different, and I think I may have changed one or two little things, but otherwise it's pretty much like the original

Finished Rainbow Wings

and it's come out as I hoped which is nice
I'm picking the 12 designs for my Counted Wishes Festival booth today, it's rather exciting!

Sorry Rose, it's meant to be a Show Special so not to be seen anywhere until then

I'll try and do some work on Gingham Gems in the next few days and put pictures of them up!
What with everything going on I haven't even stitched a card for my SIL's wedding this Saturday

-- I think I'll have to use a previously stitched Round Dozen one....
One thing I
have managed to do is fill in my form for the Counted Wishes Festival, with the 12 designs I want to showcase! Went over the list with DH, it was quite difficult to decide which ones to go for, and the moment I'd sent it in I thought "perhaps I should have included..." Oh well, the die is cast

It really is fun to know someone at an exhibit like this. Good luck, Mabel. I know your pieces will be lovely.

Still fussing over whether to email the organiser and say "hold the press, take out that one and add this one"
Also went through my Hardanger folders to find a quick stitch for SIL's wedding. It's been a long time since I stitched other people's designs

What about a "bakers dozen?"
13.. just because 12 may not be enough
(It was because bread or rolls had to be a certain weight. They added an extra to make sure they were over the minimum) ahh.. the random crap that fills up my brain

-- I could try that on them I suppose, but I paid for a 12-item booth so i think 12 is all I'll be able to squeeze in! (may have to go for a bigger booth next time...)
Anyway, I finished some stitching that I can actually show -- woohoo!
Here is the first of four Gingham Gems

. They were going to be a cushion (green on the front, beige on the back), but that means stitching some of the fourdesigns twice, and some three times, and I simply haven't got the time for it, so for now I'll stitch each one once, and keep the cushion idea for later.
And a close-up of the lazy-daisy flower:
