Mabel - I am a newcomer to the site and have just spent my first weekend looking through various sections. I must say your work is stunning - design, stitching and especially color choices. I have just picked out my first hardanger project to complete when on holidays next month. Now that I've seen your work, I can't wait to get started.

Linda Rose, thanks for the compliments, and good luck with your first Hardanger -- I hope you'll enjoy it! If you get stuck with anything just post something on the forum, there are several Hardangerers here to help.
And if you like the idea of small projects to get the hang of it, perhaps you'd like to join the SAL I'll be starting in the new year.

Haven't fixed Vienna yet

, and I'm still not happy with the beige Gingham Gems, so for now that's all been put on the backburner while I get ready for the course, which starts in less than 2 weeks *panic*

I'm getting there, though -- I've got most of the materials, and almost everything has been charted or at least doodled on a piece of paper, so I might get them all finished by the first class

I'll post pictures here of the models I stitch, as and when they appear; we're at the big car fair at Beaulieu this weekend, so it won't be until next week, unless I want to take a project and sit there stitching in our marquee, surrounded by bits of vintage car

I'm especially looking forward to showing off my shisha project!

What a beautiful butterfly. I would love to see one of those flitting about. The colors are lovely and the design is amazing. I'm really looking forward to the SAL so I can finally learn how to do these.
