I am stitching afghans for all of our grandchildren, however it seems like they are 6 or 7 years old by the time I get them done!!

My next project is the afghan for our 5 year old grandson. I am looking for patterns/ideas of what to stitch. I don't want it to be too "babyish".

I would like to incorporate a square with Indianapolis Colts in the finished project if possible, but the main theme needs to be something "boyish".

My DH suggested maybe something with trains. I have been searching the internet, and not having much luck.

I am hoping for a finished afghan of say 40" x 50" +/-

TIA
Julie

I have a selection of small sports charts and transport-themed charts (which includes a couple of trains as well as cars, bikes, planes etc) which I'd be happy to send to you. They're not specifically designed for afghans, some of them might be too big, but if you'd like them just PM me your address and I'll send them your way :)
