Another Kiwi!

Kia ora everybody!
Well I stumbled upon this forum, thanks to my good friend Zeb (who knows she is such an evil evil enabler
) who convinced me to join up. So here I am!
My name's Laura, I'm a 25 year old teacher in Auckland. I've been cross stitching for about 12 or so years. At times I have put it down for months (once a couple of years) on end, but I always come back to it, especially in the colder months.
My favourite designer is Bent Creek and at the moment I have an odd obsession with alphabet samplers. No idea why, but every pattern I tend to buy lately are these! I'm also dabbling in designing my own patterns.
I'm an aficionado of tea, Japanese food, British comedies and sci-fi shows, and anything involving zombies.
Anddd that's about it!

Welcome to the forum! That's really cool that you're starting to design your own patterns!
And zombies. We're very zombie obsessed around my house thanks to the hubby.. Even the baby occasionally pretends to be one..

Oh it's surely because Zombie's are the best supernatural being. I personally can't wait for The Walking Dead tv series to start

I also love Sci-fi and Japanese food .... but don''t like British comedy, never had a cup of tea in my life and my only thoughts on zombies, is how I resemble one in the morning after too much red wine the night before!!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
I'm a Secondary school teacher (yay hormonal teenagers!) and I teach English, Media Studies and Junior Drama (although the first two are my main fields!)
