Hi,
Can anyone has this pattern of Teresa Wentzler? Can you share that with me? I am searching for it for a very long time but no luck.

I have it too! But I sorta need it for myself... I mean to start the pattern soon...
I have no idea where you are, but these folks seem to carry the chart on their online store:

Hope this helps!

Hi XStitch Friends,

I need your advise on silk threads. Can I use silk threads from DMC? I have not used these threads till now. Whats your opinion on this?

Thanks.

Hi SChitta! Glad you're here on the forum. I'm not sure what you mean by DMC silk threads. I have not heard of them. Do you mean DMC's satin/rayon thread? Not trying to be rude, I just want to help if I can.

I wrongly mentioned as silk thread..it is satin thred.. I want to know what is the disadvantage of using satin thread for peacock design.

As satin thread will have more shine, I am thinking to use it. At the same time I am worried it may not be right choice.

Cheers.

I've used the satin thread a couple of times. I found it more difficult to use. It's very slick and harder to keep even tension on stitches, especially when using more than than one strand. If you're very patient and persistent, I'm sure you could do it. The biggest factor may be finding enough colors to properly modify the design. AFAIK, there are only 36 colors available. Good luck if you decide to go that road. It would surely be a huge contrast from the subtlety of TW's tweeded designs.

Hiya :)
If you're going to use the DMC ones, I would strongly recommend using Thread Heaven on them.

If you're just set on stitching the design with silk, why not get in touch with Vikki Clayton to see if she has a silk pack available for this design?

Hi, Having completed Teresa's peacock some years ago, I'd suggest sticking to cotton thread - it is very involved piece with many blended threads used. To my mind its beautiful the way it was created - very natural look. Just my opinion though.

We've just moved house & its the first piece I've hung up!
