Scared...

One part of me says, yes I'd love to participate with exchanges, the other one says no, you haven't finished enough yet.

So far I only did finishings for 2 biscornu's, one with special stitches, and 2 easy peasy scissors keepers.

What do you guys think? Should I try a bit more for more techniques?

I feel your pain :) I would love to participate too, my concern is that I'm such a darn slow stitcher  I know, I'm no help, just wanted you to know your not alone..

Thank you for supporting ;-)

I love to stitch, but there are people that stitch way better than me, and I would feel bad to get something great while someone else gets my junk craft.

Some of the best advice I ever heard, which I'm going to pass on now, is never put yourself down! There will always be other people around happy to do that for you, so don't ever put yourself down.

Speaking for myself, I would be thrilled to bits to get any stitched gift from any fellow stitcher. I have received gifts which were better than anything I've done yet - but so what, I'm sure my gifts are just as appreciated! Don't think your stuff won't be loved just because you've not been doing this for 40 years and don't know everything there is to know about stitching. Jump in, have some fun, and at the end of it you get to send something wonderful off to someone and receive something wonderful in return! We're all here for fun, no-one is ever going to think your stitching is "junk".

I did participate with a mailart once, mine arrived but the one I had to receive never arrived and the person didn't let something hear off them anymore.

I'll show the pictures off my finishings:

The last one and the best so far, but still has mistakes...

Because I have seen other finishings, and believe me, if I give you the blogs, you would be saying mine is rubbish.

Oh. My. Gods! Those are beautiful! I'd be bowled over to receive ANY of those (including the gorgeous needles case you said went "horrobly wrong" - I can't see anything wrong with it at all!). Please do sign up for some exchanges as soon as possible - I'll be eagerly waiting to find out if I'll be your lucky recipient! :applesauce:

The needlecase is a disaster... really. I believed the shopkeeper with the glue she said was good for it, but it left unremovable stains and the bindings were our first try and didn't really worked out well.

The biscornu design of the first one is from The Drawn Thread, called the Carnelian Rose. That one is bought.

The purple one in the mailart is a freebie from Debbie Draper Designs. This one you can find here: http://www.debbiedraperdesigns.com/free.html" target="_blank It's the love freebie.

And a good explanation you can find here:
