"Ying Yang" Anagram Diffusion

I've made a bit of a start on this. Between fighting the thread and my usual terribly slow stitching, there's not much to show. I'm embarrassed at how much time I've already put into it.

It looks so nice and neat!

I love the color of the thread! What will the finished picture look like, Jarvis?

It does not matter at all how much time it has taken to stitch the important thing is that you enjoy your stitching and are pleased with the results of your labour.
Looks great to me and I would also like to see what it will become.

It's beautiful!! Looks like a pretty high count of linen that you are working on and I love the varigated thread! Very nice stitching

As Rosemary said, how long really doesn't matter, but how much you are enjoying it does

Looks like you are working on linen, which always slows me down (even more than usual)

Oh, but it's lovely!

Beautiful thread, too - and it doesn't matter how long it takes if you are pleased with the way it's turning out.

Thanks everyone. This project really makes me want a floor stand. It would be much easier to tease the threads with a laying tool than to double rail road each stitch. Here's the design:

I wanted a more blended look, so I'm doing as much in runs and rows, rather than individual full crosses. The fabric is 32ct Wichelt "antique white" linen, so I'm trying to plot each step to prevent as much carryover as possible. I'm afraid the dark blue will show through too much. I'm working the area of heaviest stitching first. Hopefully, I'll have a better plan of attack when I get to the more sparse areas.

Some people call it spike or awl. It's really just a long pointed tool used to control the threads as you stitch. There's a pretty good explanation of them here:
