I've been trying so hard to be good and not post any pictures of this anywhere on the internet, as I promised my friends that I wouldn't let them see anything of the sampler until their wedding day and I've been worried that they might come on here and see it accidentally, but they're so busy planning the wedding and worrying about the baby they've got on the way that they're not likely to come here really, and I'm just bursting to share this.

(As you can see I got a bit mixed up on the colours of one of the hearts, but I think I like it better this way!)


I've got about 9 weeks to finish it, and it's a lot more work than I realised it would be, I'm starting to wonder whether I'll get it done in time. I've got a frame it'll go in nicely, so I can stitch right up until the last minute, so there is still hope!

You have made an impressive start on this, it looks lovely, love the colours.

This is a beautiful piece and you've made a great start on it - I'm sure the happy couple will be thrilled with it

I got most of the way through the next square today, about an hour ago thought I'd gone wrong and would have to frog the entire day's work. Turns out I had in fact misread the chart and forgotten how to count to 5. Pleased I don't have to frog, but slightly upset that I can't count!

Update

Still 8 weeks to the wedding, I'm feeling more optimistic about getting this finished! (Having said that, I've had more time to stitch than usual this week as I've had the week off, but I've got a bank holiday and (thinks) three days' holiday between now and the wedding, so I'm remaining positive!)
