My first HAED

Hi guys,

Well, as the title says, I will be starting my first HAED as soon as my kit arrives - sooooo nervous!

This weekend I fell in love with 'Wrath' after seeing it on this site. Vanessa has been incredibly helpful and given me the info i needed to order a kit and the confidence to give it a go.

I ordered it as a kit as that's all i have done up to now and the price was pretty reasonable considering the floss needed etc.

I chose the 18ct kit but late last night i had an urge to try the 25ct after all so have amended my order. Really hope it was the right decision. They are giving me a sample piece of fabric to practice on which i thought was really good of them. Probably cos the 25ct is £3 cheaper than the 18ct

Anyhoo it should be arriving in 2 weeks so watch this space  I really hope i don't muck it up!!! x

good luck!! i'm sure u'll love it  i love the deadly sin series, i'm working on 'Vanity' ATM. the best part of i found from looking at the charts (correct me if i'm wrong about 'Wrath' vanessa) is that it seems to be a lot of chucks of solid colors bordered with confetti.

for me it has been working great since i get to railroad all my confetti under pretty block stitches :D

can't wait for an update!!

I have Wrath on my wishlist, trying to stop myself from buying it on a regular basis. I regularly bore my OH with stitching related topics. Usually he just looks at me and says, 'I understood all the words you used but I still have no idea what you are talking about.' I was really nervous about starting my first HAED as well but you get into it really quickly. Good luck with it, looking forward to an update. You can always talk to us here we will never get bored.

Good morning all,

I am one very happy bunny this morning. Although my bank account is groaning

There is a slight delay on my Wrath order so i thought might be a good idea to do one of the 'quick stitches' first as practice before the biggy. Just can't wait another day!!

Last night i downloaded 'Garnet' and today I am off to get some thread and fabric. Didn't realise she is meant to be done on 28ct but since i want to practice on 25ct i am doing her on that. She is only small so i wouldn't think it will really matter.

Wish me luck, updates to follow in a few days. Can you please tell me how to post photos onto a thread  X Carol

Good morning...sorry to hear about the delay with Wrath, but excited about the new work you are starting.

To post pictures, I use a photobucket account. Its free and easy to upload and resize pictures. One of the options in photobucket, once you've loaded a picture, will be a tag that says [img]XXX[ /img] (there's no space before the "/" but I wanted to show the code so i had to put it there). If you copy and paste that tag into your post here, it will show us your pictures :) .

Can't wait to see them!!

Thanks for the good wishes and for the 'how to' on putting pics on a thread. I have to admit it's gobbledegook to me  but that's where DH comes in handy
Bless him he is out now hunting for some fabric. As i don't drive i am dog and child sitting  Our local shop had none

Will be starting tonight if he can find some fabric so pics should be on this week of wip
